Tour program

Arrival in Tbilisi, at the International Airport of Tbilisi. Meeting and pick up to the HTL.

Day 1: Tbilisi

We will visit “Old Tbilisi” - Metekhi church (13-th century), Narikala fortress (5-th century), Sulfurous baths, Synagogue, Mosque, Sioni Cathedral (6-7-th centuries).�Mtatsminda (holy mountain)- Mamadaviti's church (19-th century) and �walking on the rustaveli avenue. Overnight stay in Tbilisi

Day 2: Tbilisi-David Gareja-Kakheti(as called wine region)

We drive to David Gareja(6-th century), cave complex located in a stark, semi-desert landscape. After seeing Lavra Monastery we walk up for about 50 minutes to Udabno Monastery to enjoy its wonderful painted caves and dramatic views across to Azerbaijan. In the evening we arrive in one of the Kakhetian village and overnight stay there, we will have a local Georgian traditional food and of course local wines.

Day 3: Kakheti

Sightseeing of Kakheti: Nekresi monastry complex(4-16th centuries), Gremi fortress (16-th century). Alexander Chavchavadze's museum in Tsinandali and botanical garden. Overnight stay in Kakheti.

Day 4: Kakheti-Kazbegi

On the way of Kazbegi, we visit Ananuri-the architectural complex was built in 12-th century. It's located on the military highway of Georgia, on a very nice place at the territory of Jinvali reservoir.

From Kazbegi 1.5 hour walk up through beautiful valleys and woodland leads us to Gergeti Trinity Church located at 2170m, offering beautiful views of the Caucasus Mountains and the town of Kazbegi. Weather permitting we may catch a glimpse of one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus - Mt Kazbegi (5047m). Overnight stay in Kazbegi.

Day 5: Kazbegi-Gori-Borjomi

On the way from Kazbegi to Borjomi, we will visit the city of Gori, the birth place of Stalin, also cave-town Uplistsikhe (1st millennium B.C.). Overnight stay in Borjomi.

Day 6: Borjomi-Kutaisi

Kutaisi is the city in the west Georgia, we will see sightseeings of Kutaisi: Gelati monastery is the most important cultural and educational center of middle centuries. The monastery was established by Georgian king David Agmashenebeli in 12-th century. Near the monastery there is a Gelati Academy-a cultural educational center, which was called to be the second Jerusalem in the east- was built in 10-th century, by the first king of united Georgia Bagrati, both UNESCO world heritage sites. We will visit also Motsameta monastery. Overnight stay in Kutaisi.

Day 7: Kutaisi-Batumi

We will visit the city of Batumi, at the black sea coast, we will see sightseeings of Batumi. Overnight stay in Batumi.

Day 8: Batumi

We will visit Gonio fortress and we drive along the Black Sea coast. Overnight stay in Batumi.

Day 9: Batumi-Mskheta-Tbilisi

On the way from Batumi to Tbilisi, we visit the ancient capital of Georgia - Mtskheta and it's historical places: Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11-th century), UNESCO world heritage site.

Transfer to the airport.
