Day 1: Arrival at the international airport of Tbilisi. Meeting and transfer to the hotel. 

Meals: depends on arrival time.

Day 2: Tbilisi
Today we will have a city tour: we visit “Old Tbilisi” – Metekhi church (13th century), Narikala fortress (5th fortress), Sulfurous baths, Synagogue, Mosque, Karvasla, Sioni Cathedral (6-7th centuries) and  walking on the Rustaveli avenue. Then lunch. After lunch we will visit small factory of old Georgian traditional table cloth.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

 Overnight in Tbilisi.

         

Day 3: Tbilisi-David Gareji-Sighnagi

We drive to David Gareji cave monastery complex located in a stark, semi-desert landscape. After seeing Lavra Monastery we walk up for about 50 minutes to Udabno Monastery to enjoy its wonderful painted caves and dramatic views across to Azerbaijan. After David Gareji, we will continue to Sighnagi, city museum, as called city of love. Kakheti region is east part of Georgia, famous for its wines.
PS. From the main road to David Gareji is about 50km and there is only one small village, where live Svanetian people, from Caucasus mountains, they were displaced from their original places, because of the avalanches, it's happened in period of Soviet union, some families stayed there in this small village, some not, because there was difficult conditions to live, many houses became abandoned. Some years ago, there settled one Polish family and they opened café for tourists, who are visiting David Gareji, we will have lunch there and we can help them to do some daily activities, because they have always something to do. We will be in contact with them close to the arrival date; if they do not require our hands-on help at that time, we will instead help to clean some trash from the village.

Overnight in Sighnagi.


Day 4: Sighnagi-Telavi (Kakheti region, famous for it's wines)
We will travel in Kakheti region: we will visit Nekresi monastery (4-16th centuries), then we will visit Kindzmarauli winery, where we will have excursion in the winery and wines' degustation, after winery we will go to my village and have lunch there with local traditional, very delicious food and of course home made wine/vodka "Chacha" without limit , we can take part in preparation of the food. Also, we can walk in the village and meet local people and then make some work in my vineyard. After all this, we will go to Telavi.

Overnight in Telavi.

            

Day 5: Telavi-Tianeti-Kazbegi
Today we are going to Kazbegi, on the way we will visit an animal shelter. The Zoological Center is a private, non-profit organization founded in 2010. The center was created to save endangered species protected by the "Red List" of Georgia. Caucasian brown bears and gray wolves are in their center.

 They try their best to create semi-natural conditions for the animals, in which they need the help of the private sector and society, both financially and with food products, which are important for their animals. After the visit to the animal shelter, we will continue to Kazbegi, on the way, we will make some stop to enjoy the beauty of great Caucasus mountains.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner. 

Overnight in Kazbegi.

 

Day 6: Kazbegi
Today we spend the day in Kazbegi and surrounding area to see the Gergeti Trinity Church, Dariali Monastery and hike to Gveleti Waterfall.
There is good chance to make 3-4 hours hiking to the Gergeti Trinity church and back, if people would like to hike more, there are good possibilities.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Overnight in Kazbegi.


Day 7: Kazbegi-Tbilisi
Today we drive from Kazbegi to Tbilisi, on the way, we will visit ancient capital of Georgia – Mtskheta and its historic Svetiskhoveli (11th century) and Jvari (6th century) monasteries. In the evening, we will be back to Tbilisi.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch.

 Overnight in Tbilisi 

Day 8: Check out and transfer to the airport of Tbilisi.
