Description:

Arrival in Tbilisi, at the International Airport of Tbilisi. Meeting and pick up to the HTL.
Day 1: Tbilisi

Tbilisi sightseeing tour – We visit “Old Tbilisi” – Metekhi church (13th century), Narikala fortress (4th fortress), Sulfurous baths, Mosque, Karvasla, Sioni Cathedral (6-7th centuries), national museum and walking on the rustaveli avenue. Overnight stay in Tbilisi.

Day 2. Tbilisi-David Gareja-Sighnagi(Kakheti region, as called land of wine)

In the morning we drive to David Gareja(6th century), cave complex located in a stark, semi-desert landscape. After seeing Lavra Monastery we walk up for about 50 minutes to Udabno Monastery to enjoy its wonderful painted caves and dramatic views across to Azerbaijan. After David-Gareja, we will departure to Sighnagi, historical town, as called, city of love, we will overnight stay there.

Day 3: Kakheti

Sightseeing of Kakheti: In the morning we will visit city of Telavi and local agriculture market. Then departure to Kvareli city, we visit winery and degustate local famous wines. On the way to Kvareli, we will visit Gremi monastery(16th century). After wine degustation, we will departure to the village and have local Georgian traditional food and of course local wines without limit. We will stay to Overnight in the village or in Sighnagi.

Day 4: Kakheti-Mtskheta-Kazbegi

We will visit the ancient capital of Georgia, Mtskheta and its historical places: Svetitskhoveli Cathedral(11th century), Jvari church (6th century). Then departure to Kazbegi.
On the way to Kazbegi, we visit Ananuri-the architectural complex was built in 17th century. It’s located on the military highway of Georgia, on a very nice place at the territory of Jinvali reservoir. On the way, we will make some stops to see beauties of the region. Overnight stay in Kazbegi.

Day 5: Kazbegi

In the morning we will visit beautiful Dariali gorge, until the border with Russia, then back to Kazbegi. Then from Kazbegi 1.5 hour walk up through beautiful valleys and woodland leads us to Gergeti Trinity Church located at 2170m, offering beautiful views of the Caucasus Mountains and the town of Kazbegi. Weather permitting we may catch a glimpse of one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – Mt Kazbegi (5047m). Overnight stay in Kazbegi.

Day 6: Kazbegi-Gori-Kutaisi

We will departure to Kutaisi, the city in the west Georgia, second biggest city. On the way to Kutaisi, we will enter to Gori city, birth place of Stalin, there we will visit museum of Stalin, after the museum, we will visit cave complex Uflistsikhe(6th century of BC). Then we will drive to Kutaisi. Overnight stay in Kutaisi.

Day 7: Kutaisi

After the breakfast, we will departure to Gelati monastery, it’s most important cultural and educational center of middle centuries. The monastery was established by Georgian king David Agmashenebeli in 12th century. Near the monastery there is a Gelati Academy, cultural educational center, which was called to be the second Jerusalem. Both UNESCO world heritage sites. Then we will visit Motsameta monastery(9th century). Then we will be back to Kutaisi and visit local market and have a lunch. After the lunch, we will visit Sataplia cave and we will see dinosaur footprints. Overnight stay in Kutaisi.

Day 8: Kutaisi-Batumi

We will departure to beautiful Batumi, at the black sea coast, on the way to Batumi we visit Botanical garden. Then we will have a sightseeings of Batumi,. Overnight stay in Batumi.

Day 9: Batumi

Free day in Batumi. Overnight stay in Batumi.

Day 10: Batumi-Bakuriani

We will departure to Bakuriani-ski resort, 1600 meter above sea level. We will have free time there to relax and walk. Overnight stay in Bakuriani.

Day 11: Bakuriani-Borjomi-Akhaltsikhe-Vardzia

On the way to Vardzia, we will visit the city Borjomi and its park, where we can drink famous natural Borjomi mineral water, which comes directly from the ground. Then we will departure to Akhaltsikhe and visit beautiful Rabath fortress. After Rabath, we will departure to Vardzia, on the way to Vardzia, you will see Khertvisi fortress(2nd century BC). Overnight stay in Vardzia.

Day 12: Vardzia

In the morning, we will visit the amazing town in caves Vardzia(12th century). After Vardzia, we will have a free time. Overnight stay in Vardzia.

Day 13: Vardzia-Tbilisi

We will departure to Tbilisi via beautiful Paravani and Sagamo lakes, located at about 2000 metre above see level. Overnight stay in Tbilisi.

Day 14: check out and pick up to the airport of Tbilisi.
