NIKORTSMINDA cathedral is one of the Georgian masterpieces situated on the north branch of the Racha chain. It was built at the beginning of 11-th century, when Bagrat-3 ruled the country. The cathedral is not big, but it is distinguished for its beauty. The cathedral is decorated with luxury indentures and ornaments, reflecting Biblical episodes and historical events.
